About Us
Guided by collaboration and curiosity, we produce works that welcomes broad audiences while honoring the enduring tradition of music and theater. Our approach blends artistic excellence with a fresh, contemporary perspective — celebrating opera’s rich heritage while shaping vibrant, relevant experiences for today.
Driven by passion
In 2025, Anastasia Antropova independently produced Carmen and Eugene Onegin. Both productions took place in Nichols Concert Hall and were a resounding success. Building on this momentum, she founded Chicago Nova Opera in 2026.
Each project has reflected a commitment to core values — creating meaningful opera experiences, making space for beautiful singing, and approaching the art form with care, intention, and a contemporary perspective. Chicago Nova Opera stands not simply as an organization, but as a reflection of these beliefs: producing work that matters, guided by quality, collaboration, and a deep respect for the tradition it carries forward.
